I.T. Infrastructure – (S = Standard, O = Optional)

- We supply each member with a Fujitsu-Siemens tower PC with
the following specifications:
- Pentium 4, 2.66 GHz processor
- 512Mb RAM
- 40Gb local hard disk drive
- Twin matrox screen cards so you can add up to three additional
monitors
- Microsoft Windows XP Professional platform
- Microsoft Office Professional software pre-installed
- 17 inch TFT flat panel monitor.

- Each member will have their own VLAN (Virtual Local Area
Network). This means you can conduct your business
in the absolute knowledge of maintaining security and confidentiality
and prohibiting entirely any encroachment by other domains
or individuals. All cabling at Bourne Financial Limited
is Category 5. All networks will benefit from continuous
virus scanning using Norton Antivirus.

- Our onsite secure servers control all email using Windows
Exchange Server. You can choose an email address within
the Bourne Financial domain or, should you need it, an email
address from your own domain, which we can easily configure
for you. Norton Antivirus scans all email before it
reaches the main server; this eliminates any risk of virus
contamination.

- Bourne Financial has extremely generous bandwidth and
connectivity. We provide each member with a standard
512k connection on occupation: but we can provide increased
bandwidth at short notice with no upper limit. Cisco
firewalls provide a gateway to the fibre network with a
static external IP presence.

- Members can choose a Bloomberg contract to run in tandem
with their occupancy, with a minimum term of just three
months. This is a major benefit to members, as
Bloomberg usually require a two-year minimum contract.
All real-time trading options are available.

- Members can order additional monitors to use with the
Bloomberg option, or simply to benefit from a larger Windows
desktop area. All PCs cater for this option.

- At Bourne Financial Limited we are very aware of the importance
of data backups and offer several backup options.
- You can make backups to our secure onsite backup servers
at any time.
- You can also choose to make secure off-site backups
to our Specialist IT backup consultants.
They will store these for as long as you need, and we
can arrange swift retrieval . We will arrange bespoke
backup schedules for each Member.

- We offer hardware and software support . A full
time IT technician is available onsite during office hours,
to help in troubleshooting software or hardware faults,
or simply to advise on the use of software applications.

- You can opt to have each PC fitted with a card reader
so it only operates when the user enters a card uniquely
coded for their PC.
The PC instantly hibernates when the user removes their
card and only revives when they re-enter the card.
This ensures that each machine is entirely secure from outside
influence for any period, without the user having to log-off.

- As a member you can use our additional secure on-site
server storage when you wish, either to store more than
your PC's 40Gb allows, or if you don't want to store data
locally.

- Our Partner firm offers members a comprehensive web site
consultancy service. They are sympathetic to members needs
and can design, build and host your web site, at beneficial
rates.

- Our Partner firm, one of the world's leading trade
execution services, offers members an online trading platform
and trade execution service. On agreement, they will
install software so you can start trading immediately with
the full support of the service provider and our on floor
IT technician.
Telephony infrastructure (S = Standard, O = optional)

- Bourne Financial Limited has invested in telephony infrastructure
from Avaya, the World's number 1 in IP Telephony, Call Centre
and Messaging; 90% of Fortune 500 companies use Avaya.
The Avaya system can deliver over 600 features to handsets.
We provide each workstation with a handset with any required
functions, such as caller ID, multiple line choice, call
waiting, conferencing, on hold, and headset capacity.
You can even programme handsets to act as call centre turrets
or dealer boards to give ultimate flexibility.

All members have a direct line to their handset, with
the option of adding additional lines. If you are away,
or engaged, you can forward the call either to your personal
voicemail, or directly to Bourne Financial's reception
switchboard, where our receptionist will answer using
your company or individual name and take any message.
Integrated faxmail is available where every individual
has their own fax mailbox. There is even the option for
the system to read back your emails when you are away
from your desk.

Bourne Financial offers members the ability to record phone conversations. This is extremely valuable should the FSA require it for a member, should they choose to phone trade, or should they simply require conversations to be recorded for peace of mind. The initial fixed costs for such a service are prohibitive, however at Bourne Financial the infrastructure already exists so members can simply take advantage of it out of running costs.
